About FamilytimeRags

A Family's Love for the Ragdoll Breed
Adult seal mitted Ragdoll from FamilytimeRags, Oklahoma breeder.
Our heart, Toulouse, and the whole reason behind FamilytimeRags
We are Stormi and Charles Nell, and together with our children, Ashlan and Joey, we are FamilytimeRags. We live in the Oklahoma City metro area and have shared our home and our lives with Ragdolls since 2000. What began with the search for a loving family pet became a lifelong commitment to the Ragdoll breed.
Our first Ragdoll, Toulouse, completely captured our hearts. He introduced us to everything we love about the breed—their affectionate temperament, beauty, and desire to be close to their people. Toulouse became the inspiration behind FamilytimeRags and led us into the world of showing and breeding Ragdolls.
Showing and Breeding Ragdolls Since 2003
In 2003, we welcomed our first breeding pair and began showing and raising Ragdolls as a family.
We believe showing is an important part of a responsible breeding program. Evaluation by knowledgeable judges helps us understand our cats’ strengths and areas where we can continue to improve. We also rely on the written Ragdoll breed standard to guide our breeding decisions.
Our program is dedicated exclusively to blue-eyed, pointed Ragdolls. We carefully consider health, temperament, structure, pedigree, genetic diversity, and adherence to the written breed standard when planning each pairing.
Our goal is not simply to produce beautiful kittens. Our goal is to raise healthy, affectionate, well-adjusted Ragdolls that will be cherished members of their families for a lifetime.

FamilytimeRags kittens are raised as part of our family until they become part of yours
Our Ragdolls are members of our family, and our home is arranged with their comfort and happiness in mind.
Our girls have full run of the house. Because our intact males must live separately from the girls, they each have comfortable rooms of their own with space to climb, play, rest, and interact with us throughout the day. They receive daily attention, affection, and playtime from our family.
Our kittens are born and raised inside our home. They grow up surrounded by the normal sights, sounds, and activities of family life. They are handled, loved, played with, and given opportunities to develop confidence before joining their new families.
There are cat beds, toys, climbing areas, and cat trees throughout our home—but our Ragdolls are just as likely to be found sleeping in our beds, sitting beside us, or following us from room to room.
Health and Responsible Breeding
The health and well-being of our cats and kittens always come first.
Our breeding cats receive extensive DNA testing for more than 40 genetic conditions. Testing includes conditions associated with the Ragdoll breed and other inherited feline diseases, including HCM mutations, Polycystic Kidney Disease, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency, and multiple forms of Mucopolysaccharidosis. Our breeding cats are also blood typed.
We continue to follow developments in feline health and genetics and consider additional testing as reliable and meaningful tests become available.
Our kittens remain with us until approximately 12 to 14 weeks of age. Before leaving for their new homes, pet kittens receive age-appropriate vaccinations, scheduled deworming, spay or neuter surgery, a microchip with lifetime registration, and a health record.
Families also receive copies of the parents’ DNA testing, a four-year genetic health guarantee, and a care package containing familiar items to help make the kitten’s transition easier.
Most importantly, our relationship with our kitten families does not end on pickup day. We remain available to answer questions and provide support throughout the life of every FamilytimeRags kitten.
Preserving a Special Legacy
In 2010, we began working with our dear friend Elaine Poy-Smith of Purrla Ragdolls on our Traditional-line Ragdolls.
In 2014, Elaine and Stormi began working toward a shared dream: producing show-quality Traditional Chocolate and Lilac Ragdolls while maintaining the health, temperament, beautiful blue eyes, and proper breed type that should define a Ragdoll.
We sadly lost Elaine in October 2017. Her friendship, knowledge, and love for the breed left a lasting mark on our family and our breeding program.
We remain committed to preserving the lines and legacy she entrusted to us and continuing the Chocolate and Lilac program we dreamed about together.

FamilytimeRags has always been a true family endeavor.
Our children, Ashlan and Joey, grew up alongside our Ragdolls and shared in the love, care, and showing of our cats. Although they are now grown and building lives of their own, Ragdolls and animals of every kind continue to bring our family together.
Ashlan married her husband, Sam, in 2021 and completed her master’s degree in 2024. They have since blessed us with our grandson, Zeke, who has brought an entirely new kind of joy to our family.
Ashlan also shares our love for the Ragdoll breed through her own cattery, FAMILYTIMEDOLLS.
Ashlan, Sam, Zeke, and their dog, Merlin—our much-loved grandpuppy—remain an important part of our family’s everyday life.
Joey is a music educator and devoted Ragdoll owner. His two Ragdolls are an important part of his life and are frequent visitors to our home.
Our family also includes our French Bulldogs, Rolo and Gizmo. Their playful personalities, affection, and constant companionship bring plenty of laughter and energy to our home. Like our Ragdolls, they are not simply pets—they are cherished members of our family.
Our family has grown and changed tremendously since FamilytimeRags began, but one thing has remained constant: our home and our lives continue to revolve around family, animals, and the joy they bring us.
Welcome to Our Family
Each kitten born at FamilytimeRags carries a piece of our hearts with them when they leave.
We work hard to make choosing and welcoming a kitten a personal and memorable experience. We enjoy sending families photographs and updates as their kittens grow, and we are always happy to receive photographs and stories after they have gone home.
Many of our kitten families have remained in contact with us for years. Watching our kittens grow into beloved companions is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
We invite you to explore our website, meet our cats, read about our breeding practices, and learn more about our available kittens and planned litters.
There truly is nothing like being owned and loved by a Ragdoll. Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family.
